It all began in 1998...
When my daughter was diagnosed with Idiopathic Rheumatoid Arthritis, causing severe and persistent pain, swelling, and stiffness, I was desperate to find a way to relieve her discomfort. Gluten, dairy, and refined sugars were the first to go; and from there I reinvented my recipes and transformed my way of thinking about food and well-being.
My best friend, Steph, and her family, were my best tasters and critics. If my food could pass muster with her husband, Mark, then I knew that I was really onto something. Steph and I soon realized that there wasn’t much choice on the market for people with food allergies and sensitivities, so together we set out to bring our delicious creations to the masses.
Since our launch in 2012, Mi & Stu has grown from a small, commercial space on Montreal's Parc Avenue to a 7500 square foot facility, where we're better able to serve our clients, which include major airlines and food distributors. What's more, Steph doesn’t need to cross any bridges to get to work, so her blood pressure is under control! Good news all around.
Our facility produces a wide variety of products from baked goods to prepared foods. Bakery offerings include breads, brownies, cupcakes, danish, muffins and more. Prepared foods, all vegan, include curries, stews and sandwiches. Our products are prepared for retail and wholesale distribution, as well as private label. We have a wide menu for the travel industry; catering to many transatlantic carriers as well as train travel.
